Join Real Food CT for our 6th annual "An Evening at the Farm," a night of farm-fresh food, live music, and community, all in support of the fight against food insecurity in Connecticut on Saturday, September 19th from 5–8 p.m.
Food insecurity in our state is near its highest level in years. Roughly one in seven residents, more than 516,000 people, don't have reliable access to enough food (Feeding America). Real Food CT moves fresh produce from local farms to pantries across the region at no cost. This year we've already delivered more than 135,000 pounds of produce and are on track to reach 250,000 pounds by year's end. Every ticket helps push that number higher.
What's Included
Food & Drink — Catered by Angelina's Italian Deli & Catering:
- Grazing table, seasonal cocktails, and locally sourced fresh salads
- Small plates of steak, chicken, and eggplant (vegetarian and gluten-free options available)
- Ice cream for dessert from Ferris Acres Creamery
Live Music — String player Dan Tressler, one of Fairfield County's most well-regarded musicians, performing throughout the evening.
The Setting — An evening on the grounds of Sticks & Stones Farm.
Farm-to-Table Produce — The menu showcases seasonal produce from our partner farms: Daffodil Hill Growers, Waldingfield Farm, Laurel Glen Farm, Gazy Brothers Farm, and Fort Hill Farm.

About Real Food CT
Now in its eighth season, Real Food CT is a Newtown-based nonprofit working to address rising food insecurity in Connecticut by moving fresh, local food, including from its own two farms in Newtown, to the families who need it. In 2025, we distributed nearly 160,000 pounds of local food to more than 30 food pantries. Our partner network has since grown to more than 40 pantries, supported by over 25 farm and market surplus partners. We're on track to reach 250,000 pounds distributed in 2026.
