Every Neighbor Known
Every Saturday, first-time volunteers in our English program arrive an hour early for orientation. One Saturday, we were surprised when Farid* and his son, two of our New American Neighbors from Afghanistan, joined the training session as well. After listening to the orientation, Farid* turned to the group and said, "I have attended many English classes since coming to the United States, but this one is different. I like this one because here, the people love."

What to Expect at the 2026 Refuge KC Fundraiser Dinner
Our fundraiser events are remarkably different than most. Refuge KC embraces worship and community; it is most often described as a "family dinner."
Join us as we take a step back to see what the Lord has done within the RKC community, hear about key organizational updates and initiatives, and look forward to how we expect the Lord to move among refugees in Kansas City through His church.
We will take time to enjoy an ethnic dinner, fellowship with old and new faces alike, and invite you to join us in supporting our mission to train and equip churches to welcome, serve, and connect with Refugees in Kansas City.
