On May 9th, Restore Oregon Modernism (ROM) is curating this home tour with something sure to inspire all ages.  From touring a fabulous group of homes to enjoying classic yard games, this experience will be a fun, educational, and inspirational day to remember. Developed in the Mid-Century Modern era of design, the homes in Argay Terrace offer a mix of family-friendly amenities.  We are applying this feature to our tour by opening it up to families.  Rich with retro nostalgia, trendy home bars, and one of the highest concentrations of poolside lounge spots in Portland, Argay Terrace is a treasure that lets you step back in time and enjoy its laid-back, creative energy. A few Hallmarks of Argay Terrace that you will see include: Mid-Century Modern architecture, including one-story ranches (often with basements or daylight basements), split-level, and split-entry homes Communal ‘Parkways’ and green space Mountain views through large picture windows Argay Terrace Neighborhood

Tour Details

  • Date:  Saturday, May 9th
  • Time:  10 am - 4 pm
  • Location:  Argay Terrace Neighborhood
  • Tickets:
    • Adults: $50
    • Students: $25
    • Youth (5-17): $10*
    • Under 5: Free 
  • A supervising adult must accompany children at all times while touring, and no more than two children per adult.
  • Home addresses and maps will be sent by email the week of the tour.
  • Proof of your paid tour ticket will be a disposable wristband.  Each adult ticket-holder will also receive a Tour Booklet highlighting the neighborhood's hallmark design elements and the tour homes. 

 

*The price for youth tickets comes with a 'Play Pass,' which includes tour admission, activities, one beverage, and one snack.  Additional refreshments will be available for purchase.
