Restore Oregon's 2026 Architect Spotlight Event

Join Restore Oregon on Saturday, August 1st, as we feature two projects designed by internationally-renowned architects!  This Architect Spotlight event features The Gordon House, by Frank Lloyd Wright, and The Mount Angel Library, by Alvar Aalto.

Restore Oregon Modernism enthusiasts will have exclusive access to special presentations about the history of these projects.  Learn how the Gordon House was preserved through relocation and the campaign that made such an endeavor possible.  Similarly, hear what brought Alvar Alto to America, specifically Oregon and Mount Angel Abbey, from his home in Finland.

Although Frank Lloyd Wright and Alvar Aalto were from Wisconsin and Finland, respectively, Oregon found a way to bring them here to design in their signature styles.  Whether you have visited these stunning projects before or not, you are sure to learn and see something new!
