Baking Class with Jackie King

Join Jackie King of Salem's beloved A&J King Artisan Bakers to learn how to make their delicious, whole wheat pita bread. In addition to hands-on active time mixing and working with different stages of dough, the class will finish with the opportunity to enjoy the delicious results of our work. Participants will gather around the table to share freshly baked pita and homemade dips and spreads from the Root kitchen, while Andy and Jackie will share some tips and techniques for working with freshly-milled whole grains, which varieties they use, why some are healthier than others, and how they perform in baked goods. Participants will leave with some dough to bake off at home, along with the recipe to try it at home!
