How many people have MS?
Nearly 1 million people are living with multiple sclerosis in the United States--impacting more women than men by 3:1. MS is also the leading cause of disability among young adults, usually appearing between ages 20 and 40.
Why are you running from Bentonville, AR to Little Rock, AR?
With guidance from our Medical Review Board, we are building a first-of-its-kind research network focused exclusively on a cure with the top MS research scientists in the country. This network currently includes University of Arkansas-Medical Sciences (UAMS), Northwest University and the University of California-San Francisco.
This year, Fundracer Adam Fortin asked us if it was possible to literally run UAMS' check to Little Rock, relay-style. Inspired, we're dreaming big with our community, challenging us to double the check from $25,000 to $50,000 for this year's Giving Tuesday campaign.
Can I get involved in the Research Run?
Yes! Participation is free. The Research Run goes from Bentonville, AR to Little Rock, AR. People are encouraged to join us for one or more segments as either a runner, biker or other. Others can join as a sherpa. See our route and sign up if interested.
Will your employer match your donation?
More than 26 million people work for an employer that will match an donation of an employee, employee's spouse and/or retiree. Search our database to see if your employer will help you double (or triple!) your impact.
