About This Event
Join us for the Ruth’s House Spring Brunch on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Scandinavian Club in Fairfield, Connecticut.
This annual gathering brings together friends, donors, churches, and community partners for a meaningful morning of connection, storytelling, and shared purpose. Over brunch, we’ll reflect on the work happening every day at Ruth’s House—and the role each of us plays in supporting young single mothers and their children as they build stable, independent lives.
This year, we are honored to welcome Ruthie Bolton, two-time Olympic gold medalist, as our keynote speaker. Ruthie will share her story of perseverance, resilience, and the power of community—values that mirror the journeys of the mothers we serve.
Proceeds from the brunch directly support Ruth’s House programs, including counseling and therapy, life-skills and parenting classes, financial coaching and career pathways, child-focused care, and spiritual mentorship.
Whether you attend on your own, host a table, bring a friend, or sponsor seats for moms and mentors, your presence helps strengthen a community where women and children are known, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
We hope you’ll join us.

Meet Ruthie Bolton
Ruthie Bolton is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, Hall of Fame athlete, and nationally recognized speaker whose life story reflects perseverance, discipline, and purpose.
A standout guard at Auburn University, Ruthie went on to compete at the highest levels of international basketball, earning Olympic gold medals with Team USA in 1996 and 2000. She was part of the inaugural era of the WNBA, playing her entire professional career with the Sacramento Monarchs, where her impact on and off the court helped shape the league’s early years. In 2011, she was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.
Beyond basketball, Ruthie has served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves and has dedicated much of her post-playing career to mentoring, leadership development, and speaking with communities across the country. Her work focuses on resilience, teamwork, and finding purpose through adversity.
Ruthie’s message resonates far beyond sports. She speaks candidly about overcoming obstacles, staying grounded through challenge, and the importance of community support—making her story a powerful fit for the mission and heart of Ruth’s House.
