About This Event

Animal Rescue Rhode Island's next volunteer orientation will be held on

December 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom

At this time, we are looking for volunteers who are comfortable walking dogs greater than 50 pounds.

If you are interested in other volunteer opportunities at ARRI, you are welcome to join this orientation, but please understand that it may be a while before we can add you to our onsite schedule as our other onsite volunteer positions, including in our cat room, are currently full.

ARRI welcomes volunteers of many ages, including teens. Teenagers (12-18) are welcome to volunteer as a team with a parent or guardian. For everyone’s safety, we limit certain activities to older teens and adults:

  • To volunteer with dogs, you must be at least 16.
  • To volunteer with cats and small animals, you must be at least 14.
  • To volunteer in the gardens, at events, and other stand-alone volunteer efforts, you must be at least 12.
