Mental health coercion is when an abusive partner uses the survivor's mental health as part of a broader pattern of power and control in the relationship. This type of abuse can be challenging to recognize, yet has lasting negative impacts on the survivor's wellbeing and can prevent them from accessing support services.

Join us for a 45 minute webinar where we will:

  • Define mental health coercion, what it can look like, and its impact on survivors
  • Explore causes of intimate partner violence, including common misconceptions about mental illness and abusive behavior
  • Discuss how to support survivors and challenge stigmas around mental health issues
