A Community Conversation Benefiting SAFE House

Join us for a conversation of Hope, Healing, and Impact!

Every day, Frontier Health's SAFE House provides safety, hope, and healing for survivors across our region, but creating a safer community requires all of us.

In partnership with our presenting sponsor, Bank of Tennessee, the Frontier Health Foundation Board invites community leaders, healthcare professionals, educators, advocates, law enforcement, and business leaders to an inspiring luncheon focused on creating conversation towards a safer community for all. Through powerful survivor stories and a thought-provoking panel discussion, you'll gain a deeper understanding of domestic violence in our region and discover how SAFE House is changing lives every day.

SAFE House provides safety, advocacy, and support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through two undisclosed locations in Kingsport and Johnson City. Services include a 24/7 crisis hotline, emergency shelter, coordination with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs), transitional housing support, case management, assistance with orders of protection, and transportation.

Each person will leave with a greater understanding of domestic violence, a deeper appreciation for the resilience of survivors, and a clear way to help make our community safer.

Why this matters: Domestic violence isn't something that happens "somewhere else." It affects coworkers, neighbors, employees, friends, patients, customers, and family members. Many people don't realize how prevalent it is or what resources exist until someone they know needs help.

Why attend: This is a rare opportunity to hear from people who have both lived the experience and/or dedicated their careers to serving survivors. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of the realities survivors face, how SAFE House provides hope and healing, and how our community can respond.

Why now: Every day, SAFE House provides safety, hope, and healing to survivors of domestic violence in our region. Despite generous support from community partners that helps leverage federal and state funding, SAFE House still faces an annual funding gap of more than $200,000—a challenge made even greater by the recent loss of $73,000 in grant funding. Your investment helps ensure survivors continue to receive the shelter, advocacy, and support they need when they need it most.
