Samuel P. Bell, III left a legacy that will forever change the future for Florida’s children. Sam devoted decades to building bridges to success for children through his leadership on the state governing board of Children’s Home Society of Florida. Because of his passion, heart for children and leadership, Children’s Home Society of Florida honors Sam’s legacy with the Samuel P. Bell, III Memorial Endowment to continue his Legacy of GOOD.

Providing our Community School students tours to colleges and universities

Sam was committed to our Community Schools and higher education. The Samuel P. Bell, III Memorial Endowment will provide an opportunity for our young students to explore a new world they never imagined for themselves and give them a glimpse into the college experience.

Research shows that early exposure to a college campus makes a difference for low-income students who have little opportunity to visit colleges. It is important to start college and career planning and awareness in middle school (or earlier!).

In addition to providing our Community School students tours to colleges and universities, as the Samuel P. Bell, III Memorial Endowment grows, tours can also be offered to children CHS serves who do not attend a Community School.
