"Navigating Life with Spina Bifida"

We invite you to join us on Thursday, April 29th at 7:00 p.m. for our next virtual education session: Navigating Life with Spina Bifida – Legal and Financial Considerations.

This presentation, followed by a Q&A, will feature financial and legal representatives with extensive experience supporting families of children and adults with disabilities. We will also be joined by representatives from STABLE, who will share information about savings and financial planning tools designed for individuals with disabilities.

Our presenters will be announced soon, but the session will focus on several key planning areas, including:

  • Estate planning for parents and for children transitioning into adulthood
  • Special Needs Trusts and how they support long‑term financial security
  • Preparing for, applying for, and maintaining eligibility for SSI
  • Guardianship—and alternatives that may help families avoid it when appropriate
