Join us on August 6 at 6 p.m. for food and art celebrating the artwork then at 7pm a performance featuring music and poetry inspired by a related to the works of art and the era of the Harlem Renaissance.
This free event will be held in the Laskey Art Gallery framed by our current exhibit of portrait block prints featuring icons from the Harlem Renaissance era created by artist Michael J McBride.
Poets and musicians will share works from and inspired by this time in African American culture.
