Scarritt Bennett Family Day: Building Strengths-Based Families through Song, Story, Script, and Stage

We never want cost to be the reason a family can’t participate. Please choose the Community-Supported Family Admission level that fits your household—no questions asked. If you’re able to select the Sponsor Rate, you help make Access-rate admissions available to others.  

Lunch is optional and can be added per person, or you may bring your own lunch.  

What to expect (participant experience) 

• A welcoming, intergenerational environment where children and adults create side-by-side 

• A strengths-based approach that helps families notice and build on what’s already strong 

• Multiple workshop blocks plus a dedicated rehearsal/practice block to prepare for the showcase 

• A closing community showcase featuring family-created work 

Schedule snapshot (high level) 

• Morning: Check-in and welcome 

• Morning/Midday: Workshop sessions 

• Afternoon: Workshop sessions + rehearsal/practice 

• Closing: Community Family Showcase in Harambee Auditorium 

NOTE: A family can purchase up to 2 community-supported family admissions (totaling a maximum of 10 people) per admission type. We will have a maximum total admission of 30 community-supported family admissions for the whole event. Register early if you need the Access Rate as those available slots are limited and likely to go quickly.
