JA Scouts Merit Badge Workshops - Spring 2026

The JA Scout Merit Badge Workshop Series prepares participants to consider income, savings, debt, investing, insurance, and budgeting to become real-world ready. Scouts will earn their Personal Management Merit Badge after completing all three sessions.

Participants walk away with an understanding of:

• How to create a budget
• Relationship between income and cost of living
• Importance of saving
• How credit and loans work
• Basic fundamentals of investing

Workshop Series Details:

• Session 1: Workbook - Monday, February 9, 2026 from 4:00 - 7:30 pm
• Session 2: Simulation -  Monday, March 23, 2026 from 4:00 - 7:30 pm
• Session 3: Testing - Scouts will select a 1-hour timeslot for their testing session between 3:00-6:00pm on one of the following dates:
  • Monday, May 18, 2026 
  • Tuesday, May 19, 2026
  • Wednesday, May 20, 2026

This workshop is open to scouts ages 11-17.
