Use this form to register yourself and any additional participants for the program (lodging not included).

Return to Selma with the Workers Circle
for the 62
nd Anniversary of the Selma Bridge Crossing!

When: Thursday, March 4 – Monday, March 8, 2027

Who: Adults 18 and older

Program Cost: $500 per person, which includes:

  • Most meals

  • Ground transportation from and to the Atlanta airport to the hotel in Montgomery, Alabama, and ground transportation in Selma/Montgomery

  • Programming with Workers Circle scholars-in-residence

  • Admission to the Equal Justice Initiative Legacy Museum and sites

  • Workers Circle t-shirt and hat

Should you have any need to cancel, the Workers Circle will retain $100 of the $500 amount, which is non-refundable.

Hotel Info: The Workers Circle has reserved a block of rooms at the Elevation Convening Center and Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama — a brand new hotel connected to the Equal Justice Initiative and the Legacy Museum. Rooms cost $244 per night (including tax and fees). Rooms are avaialable with two queen beds or one king bed. You must book for all four nights to participate in the room block. You must book your hotel room no later than January 30, 2027. Please note, reserving a hotel room within the Workers Circle's room block is an entirely separate process from this registration. You can register for the hotel room block at this link.

You are welcome to seek alternate accommodations but keep in mind that the Legacy Museum and connected sites are easily accessible from the Elevation Hotel. The vast majority of the delegation will be staying at the Elevation hotel and several workshops and activities will be held on site.

Food: Lunches (Friday through Sunday) and Dinners (Thursday through Sunday) during the trip are covered as part of the delegation cost. We will have a vegetarian option at all meals. Due to limited availability in Selma, we cannot guarantee gluten-free, vegan, or kosher/halal-certified meals. You can easily purchase breakfast at the Elevation Cafe within the hotel, or seek out breakfast each morning in downtown Montgomery.

Ground Transportation: The program cost includes bus transportation to and from the Atlanta airport, and to all Workers Circle programs in Selma and Montgomery. We will send a follow-up email to all registrants so you can let us know if you plan to rent a car instead. Please note that it is an hour's drive between Selma and Montgomery, so the bus is recommended.

Travel to/from your place of origin: You are responsible for arranging and paying for your travel to and from your place of origin. We suggest flying into Atlanta International Airport (ATL) because flights are more frequent, less expensive, and often direct from cities across the country. Plan to arrive at ATL no later than 12:00 PM ET (noon) on Thursday, March 4. The Workers Circle bus will depart from ATL at 1:00 PM ET to take you to the hotel in Montgomery and bring you back to ATL for departure on Monday, March 8. Please do not book departing flights earlier than 2:00 PM ET on Monday, March 8 if you plan to return to ATL on the Workers Circle’s bus.

Activity Level: You should be prepared for a lot of standing and walking around in the Equal Justice Initiative Legacy Museum, and in and around both Selma and Montgomery. The region can be quite hot in March. Most activities on Saturday and Sunday will take place away from the hotel, and you will not be able to travel back and forth to the hotel.

Questions? There is a comment box at the end of the form. Please include any questions you may have there. You can also email Francesca Rubinson, Manager of Social Justice, at frubinson@circle.org with questions about the Selma trip.
