About This Event

This walk will explore Golden Gate Park’s Oak Woodlands, San Francisco’s only designated Old Growth Forest. We’ll see and hear about the Oak Woodlands’ natural and park history and ongoing restoration efforts. The undulating route will follow the Bay Area Ridge Trail and Phil Arnold Trail for about a mile, and has some ups and downs and some steps. The Muni 33 and 5 routes serve the start and end points.

Meet in the yellow circle at JFK Promenade and Conservatory Drive.
