About This Event
Dads Connect Retreat — Broken Bow, OK | January 30–February 1, 2026
The Fostering Collective and For the Sake of One are teaming up to host a Dads Connect Retreat—a weekend designed specifically for foster, adoptive, and kinship dads to rest, recharge, and reconnect.
Our guest speaker, Chris Sherrod, is a fellow adoptive dad and the Marriage and Family Director at Watermark Community Church. Many might remember him as “Hip-Shot” from his Pine Cove days! Chris deeply understands both the pressures and the joys of parenting through adoption and kinship care—and his message and fellowship will be a true encouragement to every dad attending.
We will also be joined by Matt Ravanesi, M.A. LPC Associate with Solace Counseling and Anxiety Center if you want to schedule some complimentary time on the retreat.
We’ve reserved the incredible Stallion Lodge in Broken Bow—a stunning 8-bedroom, 10-bath cabin that sleeps 30 adults. (Yes, you can tell your wife you’re “roughing it,” but you’ll be doing it in style!) Rooms will be shared, so please indicate your preferred roommate when you register.
Your registration fee covers food, training sessions, and plenty of fun. We’ll be grilling and cooking several meals together, so expect to be placed on a cooking team as the retreat approaches.
To reserve your spot, please submit your payment when registering. No refunds will be issued after January 3, 2025.
👉 Bonus: Be among the first ten dads to register and receive an awesome BIGFOOT mug!
* 3 CEUs can be provided after the retreat is complete.
We can’t wait to spend a weekend together—engaging, laughing, and building connections that last.
