Building Hygiene Kits for Unhoused Neighbors!

We're back at the annual Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival to host a hygiene kit build in the park. After teh build, stay for a free performance of As You Like It by the Independent Shakespeare Co.

The Old Zoo at Griffith Park

First, we're raising the funds needed to buy kit supplies—things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and sunscreen.

Goal:

Our goal of $2000 will allow us to build over 650 kits that SELAH volunteers will distribute to our unhoused neighbors over the next few months.

About SELAH:

SELAH Neighborhood Homeless Coalition is highly-regarded, volunteer-powered non-profit, leading a hyper-local response to homelessness.   Founded in 2017 to engage LA’s powerful and compassionate housed community in our city’s response to the homelessness crisis. 

SELAH caries out a variety of on-site and outreach programs, with service areas spanning Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Atwater Village and Hollywood. Four days each week — including weekends — SELAH's 300+ volunteers run programs in service-poor neighborhoods that complement professional service providers.
