Shoreline Explorers (K - 2nd): Wednesdays
Times: 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Shoreline Explorers is back this fall! Designed for kids in grades K–2, this after-school program invites young learners to spend Wednesdays exploring the living ecosystem right outside the Mamaroneck Marine Education Center. Each week, kids will meet live marine animals up close, sketch and record discoveries in their own biology field notebooks, observe shoreline birds, create sea-inspired art, and take on environmental scavenger hunts along the water’s edge. With the tide bringing something new to discover every week, Shoreline Explorers is a place to ask questions, make curious friends, find a favorite creature, and turn an ordinary afternoon into an adventure they’ll remember.

Shoreline Explorers (3rd - 5th): Fridays

Shoreline Explorers is back this fall! Designed for kids in grades 3–5, this after-school program invites curious young scientists to spend Fridays investigating the living ecosystem right outside the Mamaroneck Marine Education Center. Each week, kids will examine live marine animals up close, record their findings in their own biology field notebooks, explore the microscopic world beneath the surface, dive into hands-on dissections, create sea-inspired art, and take on environmental investigations along the shoreline. With every session offering new questions to explore and discoveries to make, Shoreline Explorers challenges kids to think like scientists, follow their curiosity, and dig deeper into the world around them—all while building a community of like-minded explorers and creating science experiences they’ll remember.
