SIMS Foundation is excited to announce Music for the Mind 2026, presented by Favor Delivery!
Join us on Wed., Nov. 18. 2026 at Assembly Hall for an exclusive, intimate gathering of 200+ notable attendees and an unforgettable night honoring the heartbeat of Austin: our local music community. Music for the Mind raises crucial support for SIMS’ mission to provide mental health and substance use recovery services to musicians, music industry professionals, and their families.
The night will feature a three-course seated dinner, open bar, silent auction, and an unforgettable, intimate live music performance which will soon be announced alongside a celebrity host for the evening.
The Sims Ellison Impact Award is given each year to a local music industry veteran who has left a lasting mark on Austin's music scene and its musicians. This year's honoree is Amy Corbin, Promoter and South Region President of U.S. Concerts for C3 Presents and Live Nation. As Promoter lead talent buyer for Austin City Limits Music Festival, Corbin has spent more than two decades shaping the city's live music landscape and helping build C3 into one of the largest festival promoters in the world, with a portfolio that includes Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and many more. . She is a four-time Pollstar Talent Buyer of the Year winner, and a two-time IEBA Festival Buyer of the Year winner. Her honors also include multiple inclusions on Billboard’s Women in Music executive lists, along with Pollstar’s Impact 50 and was inducted into Pollstar’s Women of Live Hall of Fame.
The first-ever SIMS Champion of Care Award honors someone in the mental health field who has been a steady advocate for Austin residents and mental health. This year's honoree is Geronimo Rodriguez, who served for nearly two decades as Chief Advocacy Officer for Ascension Texas. In that role, Rodriguez led advocacy, community investment, and public health efforts across the health system whose mission called him and colleagues to advocate for a compassionate and just society with their words and actions including a hospital-based gun violence intervention program serving hundreds of victims and a human trafficking initiative that has identified over 1,000 survivors. A first-generation college and law school graduate, he believes in relationships, teamwork and collaboration. He has spent his career advancing healthcare access and community wellbeing in Austin, including service as President of the Austin ISD Board of Trustees and, most recently, Chair of the Central Health's Board of Managers, whose mission is to provide quality care for all Travis County residents.
Dress code is Texas Formal.
Last year's Music For The Mind raised over $132,000, enough to fund more than 2,500 mental health sessions for Central Texas music industry professionals and their families.
