Texas Humane Heroes has welcomed 25 small, long-haired dogs as part of a larger intake effort involving more than 60 dogs from an undisclosed location in Texas.
Now safe in our care, these dogs are receiving veterinary exams, grooming, nutritious food, vaccinations, and individualized attention as they adjust to a new environment and begin preparing for loving homes.
Your support helps provide the compassionate care, medical treatment, and recovery support they need to heal, decompress, and begin their next chapter.
It takes a village to care for a rescue of more than two dozen small dogs, and we’re incredibly grateful to the HEROES who stepped up to help. A special thank you to Firehouse Animal Health Centers, Barking Beauties Pet Salon, and Barkin Creek Dog Kitchen & Bath for generously donating their time and expertise to help these dogs begin their next chapter.
Firehouse Animal Health Centers donated the time of three veterinarians and a veterinary technician to help intake these animals onsite and has since helped roughly a dozen of them receive grooming, spay/neuter surgeries, and medically necessary surgeries for three dogs.
Barking Beauties Pet Salon donated an afternoon onsite to help groom some of the dogs in greatest need, while Barkin Creek Dog Kitchen & Bath sent four groomers who generously donated their time, expertise, and compassion to help these dogs get cleaned up, comfortable, and ready to meet adopters.
