Jessi founded the Shine Bright Shack to create handmade soaps and candles while giving 25% of her profits to the local children’s hospital. Buying start-up supplies was an obstacle for Jessi and her family, but through the VentureLab Spark Program, she received $500 in supplies to get her business off the ground.

Through the program, Jessi practiced courage and pitching, helping her grow her confidence enough to share her business ideas with others. She was also able to meet a professional candle and soap maker who taught her essentials for making her own products. Jessi has been able to create samples of her products to begin market research and testing to bring her business to life! Jessi's materials included:
