American Theater titan Craig Lucas pens a new dark comedy sprung directly out of his own life.
C is tormented by the spirit of his dead mother who shows up beside him in bed in the middle of the night with a treasure trove of longing and recriminations, and she’s going to get her way, even if it means killing him. She brings with her the ghost of C’s father and the ghost of C as a child. She’s going to make sense of this family, no matter how much booze she has to consume in order to get there. After decades of hard-won sobriety, C must face this final reckoning with his own mother whose obsession with him has brought both of them to the brink of madness.
