21st Annual Special Pops Tennis Fall Classic 2026

Welcome to the 21st Annual Special Pops Tennis Fall Classic!

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

This is the ATHLETE registration for local and out-of-town participants.

Metro Atlanta registrations include hotel lodging if needed. See Hotel Information below.

Event runs Friday through Sunday, September 18-20th.  The competition starts at 11:30am on Friday and ends on Sunday by 2pm.  No rain dates.

Registration deadline is Sunday, August 16th.  NOTE:  This will be a hard and fast deadline this year due to the advanced planning required to schedule all the matches, prep athlete bags, order shirts, and align volunteers.  Registration is limited to 120 athletes.  Once slots are full, you can request to be on a waitlist and we will add you *if* we have a cancellation before the registration deadline.  So please register early!!!

Please make DOUBLE-SURE that you are available for the FULL weekend (Fri - Sun) as we will have both singles and doubles matches playing throughout the weekend.  We ask that you please do not make any special requests for playtimes as we will need your flexibility during the wekend due to the number of athletes and matches.  If you are planning on airline travel, please schedule your return for Sunday evening in case we run into rain delays. Thank you for your understanding!!

Please note:  All Athletes must have their own arrangements for getting to and from matches and their own supervision, if required.  SPT will not be able to be responsible.

Fees

• Metro Atlanta SPT Athletes $70. Hotel included.
• Outside Metro Atlanta OR non-SPT Athlete, $55. See below to book your hotel.

OUT-OF-TOWN COACHES do not need to register but do need to register as a volunteer if planning on playing as a Unified Partner. Please let Jim Hamm know if you will be in attendance, and see below for hotel information.

Refund Policy:  Refunds up to 10 days before event.

MEALS:

Meals (Friday night, Saturday lunch, and Saturday night) will only be provided for Athletes and one head coach per delegation.

Other coaches and all family members can purchase meal tickets during the event. Cash or Check is preferred but we can do Zelle or Venmo if needed.  Friday BBQ is $20, Saturday Lunch is $15, and Saturday Banquet is $25 *or* you may purchase all 3 meals for $50 (a $10 savings).

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

• The competition will offer singles play for Level III, Level IV and Level V Athletes.  

• Traditional Doubles or Unified Doubles will be offered for Level IV and Level V Athletes.

• Unified Doubles will be offered for Level II and Level III Athletes.

• Each Athlete will be placed in a competitive division, and each division will play timed matches in a two-hour segment that will include a minimum of two timed matches played by each Athlete in that division.     
• Each Athlete will attend the division award ceremony immediately following his/her division matches.

***Please note:  If an athlete is with an out-of-town delegation and is bringing a Unified Partner to play with the athlete, the Unified Partner *must* register as a Volunteer and be available to play during the weekend at whichever timeslot the athlete is scheduled.

Venue Policy 

• Signature for waivers of each person will occur at the Life Time venue designated area for all entries and re-entries into the tennis venue (in addition to the waiver requested for Special Pops Tennis)
