It is almost time for the SBANT 2025 Family Camp at Camp John Marc! Fall Family Camp is open to SBANT families who have a child with Spina Bifida, age 10 or younger as of 11/14/25. Should the available slots not be filled up, we will then open up registrations to increase the age in stages until camp is full. Camp John Marc offers an incredible facility in Meridian, Texas that you can see at www.campjohnmarc.org. This is the same location where Camp TLC is held each June for Spina Bifida campers 8-16 years old. Therefore, Family Camp can also serve as a good introduction to the location for the future Camp TLC camper. Families will enjoy a fun weekend full of activities with other Spina Bifida families. The weekend begins on Friday at 5:00pm and runs through breakfast on Sunday morning. Campers are provided with all meals Friday evening through Sunday morning. Activities include making s'mores around a campfire with camp songs, deer sightings, arts & crafts, fishing, ropes course & zip line, games, archery, weird science, party night activities, and of course bonding with your fellow SB families. Each family has their own cabin that has A/C/heat, showers and bathroom. The cabins include 10 twin beds and a large bathroom area with 2 toilets, 2 showers and 2 sinks. Lodges are also available that have 4 beds, a living room and kitchenette. The lodges are further from activities and will be reserved primarily for those who need refrigerator access for infants and who do not mind the extra distance.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

We need a few volunteers to help assist us at camp.  Volunteers will arrive Friday between 2:00pm-6:00pm and will leave Sunday at approximately 10:00am.  Volunteers are required to pass a background check.  CJM staff run most of the activities of camp, but SBANT is in charge of Arts & Crafts and watching the young campers while parents are in a one hour education session Saturday morning.  Volunteers will help with Arts & Crafts, taking photos, check-in and check-out help and other miscellaneos tasks that come up.  Magic Nurse Robert will be our camp nurse for the weekend, but having another nurse on site would be helpful!  Interested in volunteering?  Click on the button below.  Questions?  Email Robin
