On Saturday, October 17, step into an unforgettable evening of spirits, stories, and community—all while supporting Durango’s public schools.
Your evening begins at the historic Strater Hotel before you head out with one of our incredible guides to explore three additional historic downtown locations and uncover the darker histories and ghostly tales hidden within them. Along the way, you’ll sample three custom-crafted cocktails created especially for Spirits with the Spectres by local cocktail sponsors—and cast your vote in our spirited cocktail competition.

Legendary Haunts Tour | 4:00–8:10 PM
Perfect for first-time guests or those ready to revisit some favorite haunts, featuring classic locations and stories from Spirits with the Spectres years past.
Untold Haunts Tour | 5:45–10:00 PM
New locations. New stories. Haunts our returning guests haven’t experienced before.
The fun continues throughout the evening with food and drinks, prize drawings featuring fantastic local gift certificates, costume fun, and our huge silent auction packed with incredible items and experiences.
Four hours. Four haunted locations. Four competition-worthy cocktails. Incredible guides. A wickedly fun costume contest, prizes, a huge silent auction, and one seriously fun night out—all while supporting Durango’s public schools.
Tickets are $150 per person and limited.
What to Expect
This is no ordinary history tour. Spirits with the Spectres takes you beyond the usual tourist stops and into rarely seen historic spaces—including underground and otherwise unusual locations—for an experience unlike anything else in Durango.
Participant Waiver
All guests will be required to review and sign a participant waiver at check-in. Please allow enough time to complete the waiver before your scheduled tour departure.
Age, Alcohol & Getting Home Safely
Spirits with the Spectres is a 21+ event. Alcoholic beverages will be available alongside non-alcoholic options. Please drink responsibly and plan your ride home before the evening begins. Consider using a designated driver, Uber, Lyft, or a local taxi/transportation service. Because late-night transportation can be limited in Durango, we strongly encourage arranging or reserving your ride in advance. Please do not drink and drive.
Walking & Navigation
The evening involves walking between downtown venues and may include steep or narrow stairs, basements, underground spaces, narrow walkways, and uneven terrain. Please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for these conditions.
Tour Content
The stories you'll hear reflect Durango's real history and may include sensitive themes such as violence, homicide, suicide, and prostitution. Some content may not be suitable for all attendees.
