About This Event

Art is an incredible vessel for self-discovery and empowerment. In this day and age, with the digital world taking over, opening up new avenues for kids to receive enrichment is more important than ever for the development of young minds. This class is designed to do just that! In this class, we will make use of the creative potential we have in all of us, strengthening not only artistic skill, but also self-expression, critical thinking, skill development, and exploration of creative ideas. Students will learn a variety of craft techniques and materials to make their own original 2D and 3D art, and will develop skills in new methods and materials, learn about core design principles, explore their personal strengths and inner world, play and collaborate with other students, and take their art to the next level. Projects include but are not limited to:

  • Creating their own handmade sketchbooks for class and personal use.
  • Sculpture using kid-friendly materials.
  • 2D artworks combining drawing and painting.
  • Fiber arts projects, combining sewing, embroidery, and weaving.

Students will be encouraged to explore what they are most interested in and will receive personalized instruction, demonstrations, and one-on-one guidance. I strongly believe in the importance of having fun and following your own unique vision when it comes to making art, and students will be encouraged to do the same. I hope to see you there!
