11th Annual Memorial Hike – Sarasota

Join SRQ Vets for the 11th Annual Memorial 5K Hike in Sarasota benefiting local veterans, a community event honoring the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice while supporting local veterans in need.

This meaningful Memorial charity hike brings together veterans, families, and supporters from across Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Proceeds directly support SRQ VETS, a 100% volunteer-led 501(c)(3) providing emergency assistance to local veterans facing unexpected hardships.

The hike begins at JD Hamel War Memorial Park, crosses the scenic Ringling Bridge, and returns to the park for a community celebration featuring a cookout, live music, and family activities.

Schedule

Check-in: 8:00 AM

Memorial Ceremony: 9:00 AM

Hike Step-Off: 9:15 AM

Return to park: ~11:00 AM for food, music, and community fellowship

Registration

Adults (21+)
• $40 advance registration
• $45 day of event
Includes event t-shirt, rucksack, lunch ticket, and beverage ticket

Youth (14–20)
• $40 advance / $45 day of event
Includes event t-shirt, rucksack, lunch, and non-alcoholic beverage

Children (13 & Under)
• $10 advance / $15 day of event
Includes lunch and a non-alcoholic beverage
