What is the Deimel Legacy Ball?

The Deimel Legacy Ball is a cherished tradition that brings together our community, supporters, and friends in a celebration of faith, education, and unity. Joined by Special Guest Diocese of Savannah Bishop Stephen Parkes, the Deimel Legacy Ball is a night of inspiration, entertainment, and philanthropy in support of the students at St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School.

The 20th Annual Deimel Legacy Ball will take place Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Pine Mountain and strives to raise funds through sponsorships, philanthropic gifts, auction proceeds, and ticket sales to support students receiving tuition assistance to attend St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School.

The Deimel Legacy Ball is named for Monsignor Herman J. Deimel, who was committed to the growth of the Catholic community in the Columbus area. He served as pastor of Holy Family Church from 1943 until 1961 and St. Anne Church from 1961 until 1966. During his 23 years in Columbus, he was instrumental in the establishment of St. Benedict the Moor Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and School, St. Francis Hospital, which opened in 1950, the new Holy Family School, which opened in 1952, and Pacelli High School, which was built in 1958 (Pacelli was originally called Holy Family High School, but was renamed Pacelli in 1958 in memory of the late Pope Pius XII, who died that year).

We hope you will join us for our school's signature event!

This event's capacity is 300 people. The reservation portal will close upon reaching capacity.
