"I love what I do because I understand firsthand how frustrating and defeating reading struggles can feel. As a dyslexic student who became a certified teacher, this work is deeply personal to me."
"After 15 years in the classroom and now 10 years at Stellar Reading Center, nothing is more rewarding than watching a child finally gain confidence and realize they ARE smart."
"I still get emotional watching children discover that they are capable of succeeding." — Jennifer Pfendler
Literacy support matters at every age.
"I couldn't even read a menu. I tried to join the Army, but I couldn't pass the written test because of my reading struggles."
For years, Russell hid his struggles because he was embarrassed to let people know he couldn't read. He was later diagnosed with dyslexia and began tutoring through Stellar Reading Center.
"I now have more confidence in reading and really hope to attend college one day. Stellar Reading Center has been a life changer for me."
"We just don't want to have to turn anyone away that needs help," said Tabitha Molina, founder of Stellar Reading Center.
Donations from events like REVMatch Rally for Reading help provide literacy intervention and tutoring for children and adults regardless of income level.
Every registered vehicle, sponsor, vendor, donation, and shared invitation helps drive literacy forward right here in our community.
