Join us at Stone Soup Café for coffee, tea, and breakfast bites, and to learn more about our programs and how they have impacted our Greenfield neighbors.
First up, we invite you to take a behind-the-scenes look at Stone Soup Café’s "Everybody’s Community Store" and the many moving pieces that help nourish our community each week.
This deep dive presentation will explore how the store operates behind the scenes, from food sourcing and partnerships to weekly logistics, hospitality, and volunteer coordination.
Learn how food moves from farms, bakeries, local businesses, and community partners into the hands of neighbors who need it most. We’ll share the history of the store, how relationships with partners like The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts and Rachel’s Table support this work, and what it really takes each week to keep the shelves stocked and the space welcoming.
The presentation will include photos, diagrams, and real behind-the-scenes stories — from pastry pickups and winter set-ups to our tiny storage spaces, hospitality systems, and new POS technology. Come learn more about the systems of care, collaboration, and community effort that make the Community Store possible.
Friday, May 22, 8:30 am to 9:30 am - Hosted by Community Store Program Manager, Juliana Green
