About This Event

Step into the rhythms of our Cuban heritage and help power the next generation of Bobcats!

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, St. Thomas University invites you to Havana Nights—an unforgettable evening under the glow of vibrant lights, pulsating music, and the warm spirit of “home.” As we celebrate our roots—tracing back to 1946’s Universidad de Santo Tomás de Villanueva in Havana, Cuba, and our founding here in Miami in 1961 as Biscayne College by the Augustinian Friars —you’ll experience authentic Cuban cuisine, live Latin jazz, and lively performances that honor our university’s storied past.

Test your skills at our domino tables, where friends old and new will gather to play this classic Cuban pastime!

This special night also looks forward: every dollar raised goes directly to St. Thomas University Athletics, providing scholarships, equipment, and travel support that keep our student‑athletes competing and succeeding. From our first NAIA championships to today’s Bobcats carrying forward the Augustinian commitment to excellence, your generosity makes it possible.

Join us for an evening of celebration, community, and impact

  • When: Saturday, January 24, 2026 • 6:00 PM–10:00 PM

  • Where: St. Thomas University Gus Machado School of Business Rico Family Plaza

  • Attire: Cuban‑inspired cocktail chic

Reserve your tickets and tables today —every purchase, fuels our student‑athletes’ success during competition and in the classroom. Whether you’re salsa‑spinning under swaying palms or raising a toast to over 60 years of Bobcat pride, you’ll walk away feeling the joy of giving back to a community that’s making student's dreams a reality!
