Join Elachee for an incredible night experience with a guided hike along the Chicopee Backcountry Trail (4.26 miles).
This trail has difficult terrain and creek crossings. Appropriate footwear and trekking poles are advised. If desired hikers can joing us to make the return hike to Chicopee Lake (4.26 miles along the Backcountry Trail or via the Bridge/Lake Loop, approximately 3 miles), or, have a vehicle parked at Elachee Nature Science Center. Recommended for those 16 and older.
Participants should bring their own headlamps and/or flashlights with fresh batteries for the hike, as well as dress for the evening winter weather conditions.

HIKE TIME: 6pm-10pm
This environmental education activity is best suited for adults and families with children ages 10 and older.
All vehicles entering and parking in the Chicopee Woods Conservation Area are subject to the Chicopee Woods Area Park Commission parking fee. Daily parking fee is $5 per vehicle or $10 for 15-passenger vans and buses.
