Join DMAX as we talk Quiet Quitting, Bare Minimum Monday, and Workplace Resiliency in a climate of burnout!

Featuring a panel made of up academics, corporate leaders, and medical professionals, DMAX presents a candid discussion on the future of the workplace and what it means for mental health. We will provide a diverse take on what burnout means for employees and employers as well as some tips for finding mental health resources after college.

Lauren Miltenberger, Ph.D.
As Assistant Teaching Professor and the Nonprofit Coordinator in the Department of Public Administration at Villanova University, Lauren’s teaching and research focuses on cultivating strong social impact leaders with the skills to engage teams in meaningful work and drive change in their organizations and communities. Her work has been published in the Journal of Nonprofit Education & Leadership, the Journal of Leadership Studies, the Journal of Education Finance and The Nonprofit Quarterly. Prior to joining the faculty at Villanova University, Lauren worked in the private and nonprofit sectors.

Norene Miller, JD, MBA

Norene Miller is an HR Leader for Comcast in the Freedom Region. Norene joined Comcast in 2011 as the Vice President of HR Shared Services for Comcast, where she was responsible for providing HR services related to payroll, benefits and learning as well as the Administration of Leaves of Absence and other programs that her team administered across the Comcast Business. As part of her role, Norene was also responsible for identifying new and innovative ways to provide and improve services delivered to 100K+ Comcast employees. In 2017, Norene moved into a VP HR role for Comcast Business as an HR Business Partner and 18 months later, in 2018, she accepted an opportunity to get HR field experience by accepting the HR Leader role in Freedom Region. As the HR Leader, Norene’s role has encompasses employee & labor relations, DE&I, compensation responsibilities, talent attraction and talent development as well as partnering in strategic HR work and organizational design. She has supported Comcast Business, sales, marketing, technical operations and construction.

Prior to joining Comcast, Norene spent several years in the customer service industry managing large customer operations, including leading multi-service center operations, and serving more than 10 million employees in a shared services environment as a third-party provider. Prior to leaving Ceridian to join Comcast, Norene served as the Senior VP of Account Management & HR Service Delivery at Ceridian LifeWorks. Norene was awarded a Juris Doctor degree from the Temple University School of Law, where she concentrated in labor and employment law. She also holds an MBA with a concentration in strategic planning and a bachelor’s degree in operations management from Temple University.

Malia Gilbert Neal, Executive Director of ArtWell

Malia is a Philadelphia native who came to ArtWell with a breadth of experience in nonprofit programming and fundraising. For the last three years, she has focused on out-of-school-time enrichment for youth living below the poverty level, growing Horizons at Greene Street Friends and initiating the program's first pre-kindergarten class.

Malia's development work over the last decade has spanned a variety of focus areas, including the impact of poverty on educational access and outcomes; social-emotional learning; OST enrichment; early childhood education; literacy skill development; career pathways; vocational trade education; and summer learning loss prevention.

Malia completed a Bachelor of Arts at DePaul University where she was also a Steans Center Community Service Scholar for four years, subsequently studying social policy at University of Delaware and Beijing Normal University. She is currently a fellow in the National Association of Independent School's Aspiring Heads program, and she is completing a Master of Science in Education at University of Pennsylvania with a focus on sexual violence prevention and comprehensive sex education. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, lifting weights, and baking. Malia has an affection for poetry, and her earliest literary memories were crafting poems and writing children's books. Her favorite poet is Maya Angelou. Malia also loves to sing and has written and recorded songs intended to help Black and Brown children develop positive racial identity and confidence.


AmandaGrace Krier, 
Youth Support Coordinator at Magellan Health


AmandaGrace is a dog mom, fried pickle enthusiast, and Irish dance teacher. She is also a mental health professional, suicide loss survivor and person with mental illness. AmandaGrace works as a full time certified peer support specialist working with youth and young adults in Bucks County, PA. Currently a junior at Millersville University studying social work, AmandaGrace is working towards her dream of obtaining a DrPH (Doctor of Public Health). She is very excited to partner with the DMAX Foundation and hopes to shed a light on mental health in the workforce.
