SPREE Summer Camp 2017- Cherry Creek Train

About This Event

SPREE's award-winning Adventures Outside summer camps offer 10 weeks of active, exciting, and hands-on environmental education. Each week has a unique theme tied to The South Platte River and Denver's urban waterways. Activities, games, and crafts allow campers to engage with and learn about their environment while having fun. Campers must be entering first grade through entering 5th grade in fall 2017.

For more information on our camps please visit greenwayfoundation.org/summercamp

The Cherry Creek Train is located in downtown Denver near 15th and Delgany. The camp building ("caboose cars") is on a bridge over the Cherry Creek. Campers will have a blast exploring the Cherry Creek (a tributary of the South Platte River), playing in several of downtown Denver's parks, and going on field trips to nearby attractions. Camper pick up and drop off will be at the Downtown Children's Playground (see map above).

Camp Schedule
8:00-9:00: open drop off time, free play for campers
9:00-3:00: structured large and small group educational activities, snacks, lunch, free times, story time
3:00-6:00: open drop off time, free play for campers, games and activities, waterway exploration

Please note: Our camp themes are on a rotation schedule. If you are signing up for multiple locations, please check that the themes are not duplicated

Cancellations prior to June 1 can be refunded minus a $50 cancellation fee. No refunds will be granted after this date unless camper has a written doctor’s note in the case of illness which causes them to miss a complete (5 day) week of camp or if the family is moving out of the Denver area.
