About This Event
SPREE's award-winning Adventures Outside summer camps offer 10 weeks of active, exciting, and hands-on environmental education. Each week has a unique theme tied to The South Platte River and Denver's urban waterways. Activities, games, and crafts allow campers to engage with and learn about their environment while having fun.
Junior River Rangers is SPREE's middle school program for returning camp attendees. Over the summer, students entering 6th grade through entering 9th grade in the fall will have the opportunity to be helpers and young leaders at camp.
Prior to registration, you must have applied and been accepted by the SPREE Team. The Junior River Ranger program is two weeks.

SPREE HQ is located in Johnson Habitat park. Campers will love playing outdoors at the newly renovated park and wading in and exploring the South Platte River.
Camp Schedule
8:00-9:00: open drop off time, free play
9:00-3:00: helpers during structured large and small group educational activities, snacks, lunch, free times, story time
3:00-6:00: open pick up time, free play, games and activities, waterway exploration
Cancellations prior to June 1 can be refunded minus a $50 cancellation fee. No refunds will be granted after this date unless the Junior River Ranger has a written doctor’s note in the case of illness which causes them to miss a complete (5 day) week of camp or if the family is moving out of the Denver area.
