Neighbors Helping Neighbors This Summer!
This summer, more families across Central Florida are facing impossible choices. Household budgets are stretched thin to the breaking point due to a rise in rent, grocery prices, utility bills, and other everyday financial obligations. For many parents, summer brings an additional challenge: children are home from school, and families lose access to school-provided meals, increasing the demand for food assistance and support services.
At United Against Poverty Orlando (UP Orlando), we see the impact every day. Families and individuals who are working tirelessly to provide for themselves and their loved ones are finding it increasingly difficult to stay afloat. When an unexpected challenge arises, even the most determined households can find themselves in crisis.
That is where neighbors helping neighbors makes all the difference.
Your support helps provide:
• Crisis care and case management through our Crisis Stabilization Program
• Employment training and job placement services through our Success Training Employment Program
• Food and household subsidies through our Member Share Grocery Program
Sometimes, all it takes is the support of a caring neighbor and access to the right resources to help them overcome those challenges and regain stability.
That is why this summer, UP Orlando is inviting you to participate in our Summer Match - Neighbors Helping Neighbors campaign. Together, we can provide a hand UP to local families and individuals facing crisis while helping them build pathways toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
