Thurs. Hand Building 2:30pm - 5:30pm

Registration is sold out

About This Event

This 6-week hand building class is designed both for beginners and those with clay experience looking to deepen their skills. Over the course of six sessions, we’ll explore essential hand building techniques like pinching, coils, slab building, and sculpture. We will discuss construction techniques for securely attaching pieces together, experiment with different texture techniques, and glaze finished pieces. Class inclusions will vary based on the skill level and interests of students.

Class discussions will include clay, glaze, equipment, safety, tools, and the firing process to provide students with a fuller understanding of the pottery process.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your practice to the next level, this course offers a supportive space to develop your creativity and create a series of finished functional and/or sculptural pieces.

Experience Level: No prior clay experience required.

Firing for work completed during class sessions is included (5-7 pieces). Student work will be available for pick up 1-3 weeks after the end of class.

Dates: June 25 - July 30
Time: 2:30PM - 5:30PM
