OIC of Oklahoma County is offering a hands-on Summer Tech Series for teens ages 14–18. This three-part workshop series gives students the opportunity to build real-world technology skills through AI prompting, game design, creativity, innovation, and career exploration.
Students will learn from industry professionals in an interactive environment designed to help them create, problem-solve, and explore future pathways in technology.
Limited seating is available. Each workshop has a maximum of 20 students.
Students must bring their own laptop.
Workshop Schedule
AI Prompting Workshop
Date: July 15, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Arrival Time: 12:45 PM
Cost: $25
Registration Deadline: July 13, 2026
Students will learn how to use the right prompts in AI to:
Build apps
Create characters
Generate images, videos, and content
Automate tasks and workflows
Turn ideas into business opportunities
Gaming I Workshop
Date: July 22, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Arrival Time: 12:45 PM
Cost: $25
Registration Deadline: July 20, 2026
Students will explore the world of game design, including:
Game design fundamentals
Character development
World building
Game mechanics
Career pathways in gaming
Gaming II Workshop
Date: July 29, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Arrival Time: 12:45 PM
Cost: $25
Registration Deadline: July 27, 2026
Students will level up their game design skills through:
Advanced game design
Level design
Character creation
User experience, also known as UX
Building their own playable game
Register for All 3 Workshops
Students can attend one workshop or participate in the full Summer Tech Series.
Full Series: $70 for all 3 workshops

Who Can Attend
The Summer Tech Series is open to students ages 14–18.
Each student must bring their own laptop to participate in the workshop activities.
Parents and guardians may register more than one student.
Important Registration Information
Registration closes 2 days before each workshop.
Each workshop has a maximum of 20 students.
There are no refunds unless the workshop is cancelled by OIC of Oklahoma County.
Students should arrive by 12:45 PM for check-in. Workshops begin at 1:00 PM and end at 4:00 PM.
A parent or guardian must complete the registration form, including student information, emergency contact information, photo/video release, liability acknowledgment, code of conduct acknowledgment, and guardian signature.
