Dear Open House New Yorker,
Late Friday evening, Open House New York received notice that our $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts had been withdrawn.
This funding was dedicated to Water Works, a year-long infrastructure series to explore our public water systems, waterfront development, and climate change.
We remain committed to this series, even as we scramble to cover this loss of funding. Opening doors and opening dialogue is at the core of our mission. It benefits thousands of New Yorkers every year and is as important as ever.
So I am asking now for your help. If you value our work, can you chip in with a one-time, tax-deductible donation to fill our $25,000 funding gap?
Open House New York stands together with our peers at design organizations across the city, and around the country, who have lost NEA funding. We are creative, we are resilient and, with your support, we will continue to do the work we believe in.
With gratitude,
Kristin LaBuz
Executive Director
