About This Event

Musical Shabbat Gathering in the Four Hills of Albuquerque

A Signature Program of Shabbat with Friends NM.

Friday, November 14, 2025 | 6:00–8:30 PM

Shabbat with Friends New Mexico invites you to another joyful Musical Shabbat Gathering, hosted by SWF President, Shera Farkas, at her home in the Four Hills area of Albuquerque.

Shera’s gatherings are among the most beloved SWF events—she graciously prepares a full Shabbat feast, known for its warmth, abundance, and delicious flavors. Her grandchildren, Ethan and Emma, help welcome guests and bring their own sparkle to the evening.

The evening begins with community singing led by the Oneg Shabbos Ensemble, featuring Travis Rourk and Issa Noor. Together, we’ll share melodies both ancient and new—from nigunim and traditional psalms to uplifting songs of Shabbat joy—followed by Shera’s beautiful meal, a teaching by Rabbi Dov Gartenberg, and heartfelt conversation around the table.

This gathering is free and open to the community, and children are warmly welcome. Pre-registration is required. The address and parking details will be emailed to registrants a week before the event.

For questions, contact Rabbi Dov Gartenberg at dov@shabbatwithfriends.org.
