The Taste of Shabbat introduces the beautiful rituals, the traditional foods, hospitality practices of the Sabbath (Shabbat home feast).  In a joyful and friendly atmosphere, Rabbi Dov shares illuminating insights on the spirituality of eating that incorporates gratitude, storytelling, learning, and singing all in one meal.     

The Taste of Shabbat welcomes people from all backgrounds and ages. We are proudly intergenerational and child-friendly.  Enjoy a kosher meal with meat and vegan options catered by the Manhattan Deli of Santa Fe.  

The Taste of Shabbat is Geared for:  

  • Jewish people who want to learn more about their culture and spiritual practices.  

  • People are curious about other cultures and outlooks that bear wisdom, encourage kindness, and foster new relationships.   

  • People who like meeting people from different walks while sharing a unique and delightful experience.  

Preregistration Required by Thursday, August 27th at 10am.   

Cost: The charge covers the cost of the catering. The Taste of Shabbat is partially funded by a grant from the National Center to Encourage Judaism 

 
$25 for adults 
$20 for seniors (65+) and students 
$15 children (ages 6–13)  
Free for children under 6
