Opus Chamber Music Series Four: Bach on Marimbas

Jack Van Geem, world renowned percussionist with San Francisco Symphony and Daniel Hallett will perform J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations on two marimbas. The marimba has been characterized as having the warmth of the organ sound and the clarity of the harpsichord and therefore making it a perfect instrument to bring this amazing masterpiece to life. The program will also feature A. Piazzolla’s lively Cuatro Estaciones Potenas; The four seasons of Bueno Aires. A rare opportunity to hear these well-known works in a new light performed by master musicians. 

Sunday January 25th at 3pm, at the beautiful Preston Hall in Mendocino California.
