Opus Chamber Music Series Seven: Amy Zanrosso and the Carnival of the Animals

Rhythm, folk songs, romanticism and carnival animals come together and come to life! Pianist Amy Zanrosso and cellist Evan Kahn will be performing Bohuslav Martinu’s dance-filled Sonata No. 1, Ralph Vaughn Williams gorgeous and “treated with love” Studies in Folk Song and Rachmaninoff's romantic and drama-filled Sonata for Cello and Piano. The concert and season finale will feature a big party of musicians romping through The Carnival of the Animals, Camille Saint-Saëns humorous depictions of lions, chickens, turtles and even….music critics. Not to be missed!

 

Sunday April 19th at 3pm, at the beautiful Preston Hall in Mendocino California.
