Celebrating Food and Community at 18 Reasons

Teach a Community to Fish with Anna Voloshyna

About This Event

We're excited to add another dinner to our Teach a Community to Fish series! Joining us for one night only is Ukrainian chef and cookbook author Anna Voloshyna.

Anna is the talent behind BUDMOand the celebrated Ukrainian pop-up at Napa's Oxbow Public Market, recently featured in Vogue. This November, she brings her forthcoming cookbook, Ukraïne: Recipes and Stories from Kyiv to the Black Sea (launching this October), to life at our 18th Street Kitchen. As the ongoing war keeps Anna from returning home, she invites us to travel with her… one dish at a time.

The Evening

Guesta are greeted with light bites and sips as the evening comes together.

Dinner begins with a seated, family-style meal curated by Anna, pulling recipes straight from the pages of her new book. Course by course, each dish transports the table to a different corner of Ukraine at a moment in time when that journey can only happen around a shared meal. Food and storytelling weave through the night, connecting family, home, and the tables Anna grew up around.

The dinner includes a custom wine pairing with our friend Eric Danch.

On The Menu - A Ukrainian family dinner exploring the country from Kyiv to the Black Sea through Anna's recipes and stories.
