About This Event
This Women’s Health Month, The Alcove invites you to gather for a guided community conversation exploring the real experiences of women and gender expansive people navigating healthcare.
Through reflection prompts, small group dialogue, and story sharing, this Conversation Circle creates space to consider how our personal health journeys connect to larger systems of care, trust, advocacy, and access. Together, we will reflect on what meaningful care looks like and what we hope to see change for future generations.
What to Expect
This program is affectionately called a Tertulia. A tertulia is an informal community gathering where we discuss current affairs and important issues and share our unique perspectives. Think of it as a laid-back, fun way to engage with your community on issues you care about, where participants can engage at their own comfort level! The evening will include reflecting on story prompts and low-pressure, facilitated conversations.
Light refreshments will be provided.
This program is presented in partnership with the Latino Policy Institute and is open to all community members, with a focus on women and gender expansive people.
