Valentines for History: A Craft Workshop, 1.14.26

About This Event

Join us for an evening of nostalgia and creativity as we step into the past to craft Valentines for the future. In this intimate, ticketed workshop, we’ll explore the History Center’s remarkable collection of Victorian and early 20th-century Valentines. These intricate and heartfelt pieces—some printed, others handmade—offer a glimpse into the evolution of love notes across generations.

Inspired by these historical treasures, participants will create their own Valentines for their future selves. We'll create an intset-mirror Valentine inspired by the embossed paper cards of the 1850s and a Valentine booklet with poems from the History Center's collection. Using an array of vintage-inspired materials, we’ll reflect on the messages we wish to preserve and pass on.

Whether you’re drawn to delicate lace, floral motifs, or poetic sentiments, this event is an opportunity to engage with history in a deeply personal way. Space is limited—reserve your spot today!
