Executive Summary

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Across the world, God is raising up faithful men to shepherd His people—but many lack access to sound, biblical training. Metro Atlanta Seminary, in partnership with Mulberry Theological Seminary International, is launching a Kingdom-driven initiative to equip pastors where they are, so that the gospel of Jesus Christ may be preached in every culture and in every tongue.

Rather than removing men from their homes and ministries, this initiative strengthens the church at the grassroots—training leaders in the field and in their culture. We are seeking a faithful financial partner to invest in this vision: funding 10 pastors through three years of rigorous, accessible theological education at a cost of $2,500 per student per year.

This is an invitation to sow into the Kingdom of God in a way that multiplies gospel witness for generations.

Our Kingdom Vision

The church does not belong to one nation, culture, or people—it is the Kingdom of God breaking into the world. The Great Commission is global, and so must be the training of those who proclaim Christ the King. Our vision is to raise up shepherds for the global church by equipping them where they serve, without removing them from the ministry God has given them.

This is not simply a strategy—it is a Kingdom conviction. We believe theological education should serve the church, not extract from it. Through our partnership, we aim to make seminary training accessible, contextual, and spiritually formative in every nation where God gives us opportunity.

The Need & Opportunity

Traditionally, men from other countries seeking theological training have been brought to the West. But this model is not only financially unsustainable—it weakens the church abroad by removing its leaders. Instead of drawing men away from ministry, we are committed to investing in them where they are, where their presence is most needed.

This approach:

  • Preserves and strengthens local ministry
  • Allows students to continue serving or pastoring while they study
  • Avoids the financial burden of international relocation
  • Multiplies impact—training 20 to 30 pastors on-site for the cost of sending one abroad

When pastors remain in place and are equipped with sound doctrine and gospel-centered vision, Kingdom fruit is multiplied exponentially.

Our Immediate Goal

We are seeking a partner to help fund the first cohort of 10 pastoral students through a three-year theological training program.  This program begins in August of 2025.

  • $2,500 per student, per year
  • $25,000 per year total, with a three-year commitment
  • Scholarships cover full tuition, theological resources, and access to virtual classrooms and live instruction

Your partnership ensures these men are trained from start to finish—without creating a spiritual vacuum in ministry where they are presently serving Christ.

Long-Term Kingdom Vision

Beyond this first cohort, our goal is to establish MAS and MTSI as a permanent and multiplying presence in global theological education. With your support, we aim to:

  • Establish an enrollment of national students at our Indian Creek campus
  • Build a Zoom-enabled training room to expand virtual accessibility (modeled after MAS’s platform in John’s Creek)
  • Develop indigenous leadership, enabling pastors to train other pastors in their own cultural contexts

Our vision is not just to start well—but to build a sustainable and multiplying seminary movement that continues to raise up faithful gospel ministers for decades to come. We aim to see exponential growth in the number of pastors trained, while stewarding resources wisely and scaling infrastructure to support the needs of the global church.

Here is our 10-year roadmap:

  • Year 1: Begin with 10 students
  • Annual Growth: Increase new student enrollment by 10% each year
  • Graduation Timeline: Each student completes a 3-year theological training program
  • Tuition Costs: Begin at $2,500 per student per year, increasing by 5% annually to account for inflation and expanded resource needs

By the end of the 10-year growth cycle, we project:

  • 151 graduates trained and equipped for long-term gospel ministry
  • A total investment of $1,548,177.80 to fully support those students through their 3-year training programs
  • A robust and scalable model that can be adapted across international contexts

This model allows us to grow responsibly while continuing to train pastors where they are, increasing both the reach and faithfulness of global ministry efforts and finances.

Each trained pastor represents not just one voice, but a multiplying effect—planting churches, discipling believers, and training others. We are praying for partners who see this as an investment not only in theological education, but in the advancement of the Kingdom of God across nations. “Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end…” —Isaiah 9:7

Strategic & Spiritual Impact

This initiative is both fiscally wise and spiritually expansive:

  • Cost-effective: More pastors trained per dollar spent
  • Contextual: Pastors remain in ministry as they study
  • Multiplying: Each trained pastor goes on to disciple others
  • Faithful: Training that is doctrinally rich, gospel-centered, and Reformed in conviction
