Roots in the City: A Benefit for The Roots of Music

Join The Roots of Music for an unforgettable evening celebrating the spirit, sound, and cultural legacy of New Orleans at Roots in the City, a special benefit concert and fundraising experience hosted at The Cutting Room in New York City. This one night event will spotlight the extraordinary work of The Roots of Music, an organization dedicated to empowering New Orleans youth through music education, academic support, mentorship, and cultural preservation.

Guests will enjoy an evening of live performances, complimentary wine, beer, and catering, as well as curated auction experiences. The program will feature performances by The Roots of Music All-Star Studio Band and New York based band Circus Mind, alongside additional special guests, bringing New Orleans energy to the heart of New York City.

Roots in the City is an opportunity to directly support young musicians and invest in the next generation of cultural leaders. Proceeds from the evening will help provide students with year round music instruction, mentorship, transportation, meals, academic support, and performance opportunities.
